Pep Guardiola Has Decided Next Move, According To Rummenigge

This season has been filled with speculation over what Pep Guardiola’s next move will be when Bayern Munich’s officially comes to a close. He has been widely linked with a move to the Premier League, with high interest from both Manchester Clubs and Chelsea. Guardiola has refused to reveal his intention to the media, as he aims to keep all attention on the season at hand.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, however, believes he knows what Guardiola’s next move will be. Although he has not revealed the identity of the team, he did admit that Guardiola told him two weeks ago that he was leaving, because he believes it is not his place to stay.

“I think I know where he is going,” Rummenigge told Bild. “But I want to leave the announcement to him or his new employer. “At the Christmas party two weeks ago he came to me, he told me that he was looking for a new challenge and almost apologised. It was clearly difficult for him, I’m not disappointed in him.”

Instead of letting the news of Guardiola’s inevitable departure dampen the organization’s spirits, Rummenigge has decided to focus on the talents of Carlo Ancelotti, who will take over at Bayern Munich when Guardiola leaves.

Rummenigge believes that Ancelotti possesses all the necessary skills to lead Bayern moving forward.

“Carlo Ancelotti has been successful everywhere,” stated Rummenigge. “He has won the Champions League three times. That is still a record, and of course, he has all the qualities. He suits us, as simple as that, half of Europe was after him.”

Although it is unfortunate that Guardiola will be leaving, he has put Bayern Munich in a great position for success for the years to come. The team has some of the best players in the world on its roster, and Ancelotti looks poised and ready to capitalize on the amazing players surrounding him.
